Sea Vegetable is excited to announce the launch of our new collaborative product with Yawataya Isogoro: the “Suji-Aonori Shichimi.” This exquisite new blend features 32% of the highly aromatic Suji-Aonori, renowned for its rich fragrance.

Inspired by our desire to bring authentic aromas to your daily table, we have developed an original Shichimi blend that harmonizes the fragrance and spiciness of Suji-Aonori. Limited to 500 bottles, pre-orders will be available starting Monday, August 19, on our online store, and the product will also be sold at events where Sea Vegetable is present.

Discover the Unique Blend of Suji-Aonori Shichimi

Our Shichimi is a blend of seven different spices, including the luxurious 32% Suji-Aonori. This original blend features a balance of flavors with the richness of hemp seeds, and the refreshing aromas and umami of yuzu and ginger. By reducing the spiciness compared to regular Shichimi, it enhances the flavor and aroma of your everyday dishes, making it a versatile addition to your kitchen.

Eight Carefully Selected Ingredients:

  • Suji-Aonori: Known as the most fragrant type of Aonori.
  • Etsu Chili Pepper: Mildly spicy with a rich aroma.
  • Manganji Chili Pepper: A sweet variety with no heat.
  • Hemp Seeds: Nutty and rich in aroma.
  • Yuzu: A bright and gentle citrus scent.
  • Ginger: A subtle spiciness that does not linger.
  • White Sesame: A savory and appetizing aroma.
  • Garlic: Mellow spiciness with umami and an addictive fragrance.

Usage Suggestions: Suji-Aonori Shichimi is perfect for a wide range of dishes, including French fries, natto, lightly pickled Chinese cabbage, miso soup, kinpira gobo, udon, soba, oyakodon, gyudon, pork soup, yudofu, meat and potatoes, oden, grilled chicken, and even sashimi.

  • Shelf Life: 6 months from the date of manufacture
  • Storage Instructions: Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and high humidity. After opening, store in the refrigerator to prevent moisture, pests, and discoloration, and consume as soon as possible.
  • Note: Suji-Aonori used in this product is cultivated using seawater from areas where shrimp and crabs inhabit.

First Appearance at Kuroiso Nichiyou Yoichi Vol. 7

We are thrilled to debut the “Suji-Aonori Shichimi” at the Kuroiso Nichiyou Yoichi Vol. 7, held on August 24 (Saturday) and 25 (Sunday) in Nasu-Shiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture. This summer event, themed around "Food and Music," will feature Sea Vegetable's products, including the new Suji-Aonori Shichimi. We will also offer a limited-edition Shichimi-topped food item.
