Suji-Aonori Okonomiyaki

Suji Aonori Okonomiyaki: Taking Back the Cabbage Crown! Introducing an okonomiyaki made entirely with sea vegetable Suji Aonori!

Ingredients (for 1 serving):

  • All-purpose flour: 100g
  • Water: 100ml
  • Egg: 1
  • Salted Suji Aonori: 100g (soaked, drained)

Instructions:

  1. After soaking and draining the Suji Aonori, chop it into 1 cm pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, water, and egg to create the batter, then add the chopped Suji Aonori and mix well.
  3. Heat a frying pan and add oil. Pour in the mixture and cook on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown.
  4. Gently shake the pan to help the batter cook through, then flip to cook the other side.
  5. Adjust the heat between medium and low as needed, cooking until fully done.

This unique okonomiyaki is chewy with a delightful texture from the fresh Suji Aonori, all without cabbage! The flavor combinations are limitless!
