"crQlr Awards 2023 Exhibition" at FabCafe Tokyo

To commemorate winning the special prize "FabCafe Global Prize" and six jury awards at the global award ceremony "crQlr Awards 2023," our initiatives are being showcased as the crQlr Awards 2023 winning projects at FabCafe Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo. Alongside the exhibition, there will be opportunities for online talk events, as well as the provision of a special cafe menu featuring dishes made with seaweed.

Our projects, including the three awarded under the FabCafe Global Prize category, are centered around the concept of "New Relationship Design," exploring innovative approaches to sustainability and circularity. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to engage with these groundbreaking initiatives firsthand.

Esteemed guests, including Guillaume Charny-Brunet from SPACE10 and Anni Korkman from Helsinki Design Week, will join us for insightful discussions on circular design. Our co-founder, Tomohiro, will be presenting during the Project Talk (17:55-18:15) and Cross Talk (18:15-19:15) sessions. For those unable to attend in person, the summit will be streamed online, providing a global audience with the opportunity to participate.

TOSAKA NORI Muscat Vinegar Soda

A soda drink featuring the seaweed "Tosakanori," known for its compatibility with acidity. The fruity acidity of muscat vinegar accentuates its unique characteristics, bringing out its crunchy texture and vibrant red color.

Not only visually stunning but the drink also represents a visual reminiscent of seaweed swaying in the ocean.

These donuts, made from a mixture of wheat flour, glutinous rice flour, organic soybeans, and soy milk, are topped with cocoa butter and cocoa mass instead of sauce, resembling takoyaki (octopus balls). The subtle sweetness of the donuts is complemented by the flavor of "Sujiaonori" seaweed, offering a unique dessert experience.

This gratin features a generous amount of "Sujiaonori" seaweed mixed into the béchamel sauce and sprinkled on top after baking, allowing you to fully enjoy its delicate and refreshing aroma. With the addition of three types of mushrooms and pasta, it offers a hearty and satisfying meal.
