Mirin Oil Baguette

Easy Olive Oil Marinated Mirin for a Gourmet Baguette Sandwich!

Ingredients:

  • Salted or dried mirin (before desalting or rehydrating): 100g / 15g
  • Olive oil: 250–300ml
  • Baguette fillings (choose your favorites!):
    • Roasted zucchini
    • Celery
    • Za'atar
    • Parmesan cheese
    • Serihon (parsley-like herb)
    • Baguette

HOW TO:

  1. Rinse the salted mirin twice in a bowl, changing the water each time. Then, soak it in fresh water for 8–10 minutes to remove the salt. Drain it with a strainer and pat it dry with paper towels.

  2. Place the desalted mirin in a sterilized jar and fill it with olive oil until it covers the mirin completely.ミリンのオイル漬け

  3. Assemble your baguette with your choice of fillings, and finish by sprinkling Parmesan cheese on top. Enjoy!
