HOW TO:
- For salt-preserved mirin: Rinse in a bowl, changing the water twice, then soak in fresh water for 8-10 minutes.
- For dried mirin: Soak in water for 8 minutes.
- Grate the apple and lightly pat dry the mirin with a paper towel, then mix them together.
- Serve yogurt in a bowl and top with the mirin apple mixture.
If the apple is less tart, adding a bit of vinegar (fruit vinegar is preferable) can enhance the flavor and improve preservation for a few days.
