The Japanese original spice blend "Shichimi" is a seasoning made from a blend of seven different spices. Yawataya Isogoro has created a highly fragrant "Green Shichimi" by mixing aromatic Suji-Aonori into their carefully selected ingredients - generously one third of the shichimi.

Yawataya Isogoro

Founded in 1736 (Genbun 1) near Zenkoji Temple in Shinshu, Yawataya Isogoro is known for producing one of the Three Great Shichimi (spice blends) in Japan, featuring the distinct flavors unique to the mountainous Shinshu region.

This Shichimi combines chili peppers for spiciness, along with the balanced aroma and spice of sansho and ginger. It also includes aromatic ingredients like hemp seeds, sesame, dried mandarin peel, and shiso, creating a unique blend characterized by the harmony of spiciness and fragrance.
