We are working to produce seaweed on land and at sea, and to deliver its deliciousness to as many people as possible. Furthermore, through quality control and nutritional analysis, we clarify the health value of seaweed and disseminate information such as recipes that are useful for health.
Land cultivation of seaweed
For the first time in the world, we are mass-producing seaweed on land using underground seawater. We are working on stable production by using underground seawater, which is clean with little foreign matter and has a stable temperature. We have bases across the country, from Iwate in the north to Kumamoto in the south, where we grow year-round, mainly for people with disabilities and the elderly.
Maritime cultivation of seaweed
We are collaborating with fishermen from all over the country to cultivate seaweed on the surface of the sea. As seaweed production decreases nationwide, sea cultivation aims to maintain and revive the disappearing food culture, while also helping to enrich the marine ecosystem. Many seaweeds are grown in the sea, except for types that can only be grown on land.
Recipe/product development
We are exploring a new seaweed food culture with partner chefs inside and outside the company. In addition to developing our own products, we propose ways to utilize seaweed for restaurants, processed product manufacturers, and daily product manufacturers. Furthermore, we are working on product development with companies and disseminating seaweed recipes that are easy to implement at home.
sales promotion
We sell to consumers through our own official online store, as well as stores at department stores, markets, and retail stores. We also hold pop-up stores and tasting events where you can experience more delicious ways to eat. Furthermore, we continue our efforts to spread the deliciousness of seaweed by providing ingredients for businesses, including over 30 Michelin-starred restaurants in Japan and overseas, as well as popular local restaurants.
nutritional analysis
Our in-house nutritional analysis team collaborates with partner researchers to conduct various nutritional analyzes and communicate the previously unknown health value of seaweed. We are also working on developing products and recipes that take advantage of its health value, with the aim of popularizing it in our daily eating habits.
quality control
While our in-house quality control team ensures thorough safety control, our in-house chefs develop processing methods from the perspective of freshness control. Furthermore, by conducting regular sensory tests and collaborating with research teams and production areas across the country, we have established a system that allows us to stably provide delicious ingredients.
